Job searching can be tough enough all by itself. There is no need to make it even harder by doing or saying the wrong thing when job searching or interviewing.

To maximize your chances of getting an offer, you need to put your best foot forward. Every part of what you do, including looking for job postings, writing cover letters, dressing for an interview, sending a thank-you note, and even your use of social media can affect your job search.

    1. Do not copy and paste the content of your CV into the body of your job application email.
    2. Do not list online courses under the school category on LinkedIn. It makes you look dubious.
    3. Do not diss your previous boss or coworkers during an interview
    4. Using clichés in your CV summary that doesn’t relate to the role.
    5. Giving too much personal information that is not needed in your cover letter.
