    Our client, a reputable Co-operative society located in Port Harcourt and Owerri is looking to hire Accountants.

    Role: Accountant

    Type: Full Time

    Experience: 1 – 2 Years

    Location: Port Harcourt and Owerri

    Job Description

    Summary

    The Accountant will be responsible for creating, managing and maintaining accurate, extensive financial bookkeeping and records for the company. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of monthly management accounts. He/she will report to the Chief Operating Officer.

    Job Requirements:

    • Minimum of a first degree in Accounting. MSC, ICAN or ACCA qualifications are an advantage.
    • 1-2 years’ minimum working experience
    • Experience in Cooperative society is also an added advantage
    • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
    • Familiarity with financial accounting statements
    • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
    • Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like QuickBooks will be an added advantage.
    • MS Excel skills.
