Requirements
· Preparation of financial statements in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
· Prepare high quality reports as client engagement deliverables.
· Provide accounting advice and support to internal teams on tax engagements.
· Maintain strong relationships with new and established clients.
· Prepare tax returns, payments, necessary paperwork, and reports.
· Assess and research difficult tax issues to identify solutions.
· Manage and maintain the company's tax database.
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations by forwarding required the necessary information to authorities.
· Evaluate tax regulations and suggest policies that diminish tax burden.
· Keep track of industry trends and changes relating to taxes. Prepare accurate quarterly and annual tax reports.
Qualifications and Experience
· B.sc/HND Accounting
· Minimum of 2 years post-graduation/qualification experience preferably in a consulting firm
· ACA/ACCA /ACIT qualification is a plus
· Self-starter with minimal need for supervision
· Robust working knowledge of Nigeria's Tax laws is important
· Familiarization with IASs/IFRSs very important
· Good team player
· Relevant IT skills (working with Accounting Software and Microsoft packages)
· Candidate must be male and based in Abuja.
